Back to the front page- What happens when I call?
You have one minute to say something you have never told anyone. When you are done, the line hangs up.
- Then what?
Some time in the next seven days, at a random time, the same number calls you back and plays you a stranger's confession. Then it hangs up.
- Who hears my confession?
One other person, once. Nothing is published, browsed or shared. Nobody ever hears their own.
- Is it anonymous?
The line keeps your number so it can call you back. Nobody else gets it. Your number is never attached to your confession when it's played to someone else, and the person who hears it can't find out who you are.
- Is anyone listening in?
Nobody screens, moderates or reads the confessions. What you say goes to one other caller and no one else.
- What if I miss the call?
It tries again one more time.
- Can I call more than once?
Yes. Each call is a separate confession, and each one earns you one call back.
- What does it cost?
A normal call to a UK mobile. Nothing else. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to download.
- How long do you keep the recordings?
As long as the project is online. They're never public and never sold.
- What is this?
An art project, not a product. A dead drop, not a network. You give something away and, later, something arrives.
